Corporate Social Responsibility
Caring for the common good
We believe that banking is a social enterprise that should empower people and their communities to realize and reach their full potential. We are committed to nation building by empowering role models and citizens, supporting education, and cultivating cultural development.
Our 52-year-old corporate social responsibility arm, Metrobank Foundation, Inc. (MBFI), has consistently pursued programs that pursue the common good through public service excellence, education, visual arts, and cross-sectoral collaborations.
Our 20-year-old employee volunteerism arm, Purple Hearts Club, also transforms our employees into good citizens who have helped remote communities primarily in disaster and relief efforts, education, health, community assistance, and livelihood.
Supporting these efforts, Metrobankers raised PHP5.3 million to provide healthy snacks, hygiene kits, and schools supplies to a total of 11,477 children.
